Live-In Care
Care in the
comfort of your home.
A live in carer, on hand throughout the day to assist with any tasks that you or a loved one might have – providing day-to-day reassurance and companionship.
What is Live In Care?
Live in care is where a carer moves into your house and lives with you or a loved one in order to support your needs on a more full-time basis.
A live in carer would be on hand throughout the day to assist with any tasks that you or a loved one might have, as well as providing reassurance and companionship.
Is Live-In Care right for me?
Live in carers can help not just with specific care needs, but more general day to day things around the house too. Whether you need support with personal care, assistance with washing and dressing or bathing, help with medication or even more specific care needs, live in carers are on hand and here to help whenever you need them.
There are also lots of day to day tasks that can sometimes become a bit more difficult as we get older, which a live in carer can help with too. More general tasks such as help with cooking meals, housekeeping and light domestic help such as vacuuming, ironing or doing the dishes, running errands, helping with grocery shopping, support getting to and from appointments and even walking the dog or feeding pets are all things that a live in carer can help with.
Benefits of Live In Care
One of the biggest benefits to live-in care is that having a carer on hand throughout the day allows for much greater flexibility to go about daily life. Whether that’s having a lie in on the weekends, eating dinner at different times of the day or arranging appointments for whenever you like, your live in care package is flexible around your needs. Friends and family don’t need to rely on visiting hours to come and see you and your support can change, with your live in carer helping as much or as little as you would like them to on any given day.
Live in care is a fantastic alternative to a residential home, or moving to supported accommodation as you or your loved ones can stay in the comfort of your own home, holding on to all the incredible memories that your house holds for you.
One of the other benefits to live in care is the companionship that it brings. Often when someone is living alone, or not being able to get out and about as much as possible, they can become quite socially isolated. A live in carer allows you to spend more time one on one with someone on a regular basis, forming a lasting friendship along the way.
24 Hour Care & Support
In some cases, a greater level of support is needed than a live in carer can provide. At Saxon Care, we are able to structure packages to ensure your loved ones needs are met, even up to 24 hours a day.
We’re able to provide additional training to enable us to support clients who have more complex needs too, ensuring they are cared for professionally and safely whilst giving your peace of mind with the knowledge your loved ones are safe and well in the comfort of their own home.
