Domestic Care
It's the little things that make a big difference.
From a helping hand around the house, to a companion supporting you to stay connected with family, friends and community, a little bit of support can go a long way.
Help around the house
Sometimes, having support to manage every day household tasks and chores can make a huge difference to the quality of someone’s life. Having support with tasks like meal preparation, domestic help around the house, washing and ironing, grocery shopping and even light gardening can be a welcome bonus. Our carers can do these tasks alone, or encourage, help and support our clients to retain their independence and continue to manage these household tasks.
Companionship
We understand how lonely life can be when you live alone and have very few visitors. This is why we can offer tailored companionship, supporting you to socialise and helping reduce those feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Our carers can simply come and spend time with our clients, chatting, encouraging a variety of activities such as jigsaw puzzles, playing games, and reading books and newspapers together.
Support to access the community
Sometimes, as we get older, it can become harder to stay connected with friends and family, yet it’s so important for your health and wellbeing.
Our carers will be happy to support you to continue socialising; whether it’s arranging to meet friends and family, going out for a coffee morning, or accompanying you to an event, we can help you to stay part of your local community and in touch with those closest to you. We are also able help you manage and attend appointments, such as the hairdressers, doctors, or dentists, if required.
What is Domestic Care?
Domestic home care is when someone comes to your house to help with everyday tasks you might struggle with due to age, illness, or disability. It could involve helping with cooking, cleaning, personal care (like bathing or dressing), or even just offering a bit of company. Instead of moving into a care home, domestic home care lets you stay in your home while still getting the support you need. It’s a flexible way to maintain independence, but I have help on hand when required.
Why choose domestic home care over moving into a care home?
At Saxon Care, choosing domestic home care over moving into a care home offers many benefits. With our award-winning service, you can remain in the comfort of your own home, surrounded by familiar surroundings and routines that matter to you. We provide personalised, one-on-one care tailored to your needs, so you receive support on your terms, whether with daily tasks, personal care, or simply having someone to chat with.
Our flexible approach allows you to maintain your independence while having professional, compassionate help when needed. Unlike in a care home, where you may have to adapt to set schedules, Saxon Care enables you to live life your way, all while knowing you’re in trusted hands. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality care so you can enjoy the peace of mind of staying in your home.
How much does it cost for domestic care?
At Saxon Care, the cost of domestic care depends on how much support you need. We charge based on the time spent caring for you. Whether you need help for a few hours a week or more regular assistance, we tailor our services to match your specific needs.
We proudly offer a fully transparent pricing structure with no hidden fees. We can send you a detailed price list so you know exactly what’s included and how much it will cost. This way, your bespoke care package is laid out clearly, so you can feel confident about what you’re getting and how much you’ll pay. You can also learn more about different funding options by speaking to a team member. We’re proud to work with local authorities and also privately funded clients.
What services are included in everyday help and support?
Domestic everyday care provides a wide range of services to support your home independence. This includes help with personal care, such as washing, dressing, and grooming, and preparing meals to ensure you enjoy daily nutritious food. We also assist with household chores like cleaning and laundry, helping to keep your home organised and comfortable. If you need reminders to take medication or help with shopping and running errands, we’ve got you covered. And sometimes, it’s just about having someone to share a chat or a cup of tea with. All these services are in place to make life easier, ensuring you can continue living independently while getting the support you need. If you have any questions about the different levels of support you may need, we’d love to talk to you about your bespoke care package.
