At Saxon Care Academy, we are dedicated to providing employers and community members with the essential skills and knowledge needed for safe and effective manual handling. Our People Movers and Manual Handling Courses, available at Level 1 and Level 2, are designed to address both the theoretical and practical aspects of manual handling, ensuring participants are well-equipped to handle these tasks safely and efficiently.
Manual Handling Courses
Full Day Course
Our full day manual handling course is designed to provide an in depth introduction to the theory and practical aspects of moving and handling safely. Once completed, your training certificate is valid for 12 months, after which you can attend our half-day refresher training
Refresher Course
We are able to provide half-day training as a refresher course to anyone who has previously completed a manual handling training course with us. If you have taken a manual handling course with another provider, you simply need to produce your training certificate to also be eligible for the half day course.
Manual Handling Training
People Movers and Manual Handling Training Course
Our Level 1 course introduces participants to the legal aspects of manual handling, the potential risks to the body, and the fundamental principles of safe moving and handling. It also covers the development and application of in-house policies and assessments. Building on this foundation, our Level 2 course delves deeper, offering practical training and competency assessments on various workplace maneuvers. This course not only enhances your understanding of manual handling but also empowers you to train others and lead group sessions on these crucial techniques.
