Training Manager – Saxon Care Academy

We are looking for a Training Manager to take ownership of internal staff training and spearhead the growth of the new training division, providing support to our communities and local businesses.

We are looking for a Training Manager to take ownership of internal staff training and spearhead the growth of the new training division, providing support to our communities and local businesses.


What does this role involve?

  • As the Training Manager, you will develop and deliver all aspects of internal and external training. This will include staff inductions, risk assessments, first aid training, manual handling sessions, and other regular skill enhancement for carers. There is also an opportunity to upskill our carers on more complex care skills such as ventilator support.
  • You will ensure satisfactory training levels across our teams, schedule and report training in collaboration with the Care Managers and Care Co-Ordinators.
  • You will collaborate effectively with various teams to ensure compliance and update staff training records on our database. No direct reports will be managed, however there is ample scope for this area of the business to grow.
  • You will build strong working relationships with various areas of the business by working closely with Marketing, Operations, HR and report to the Registered Manager.
  • You will represent ‘Saxon Care Academy’ externally by liaising with local charities and businesses to secure training partnerships.
  • The long-term vision for this role is to develop and grow this new business division.   • You will ensure compliance with industry regulations and updates, actively maintaining partnerships with certified governing training bodies.
  • You will measure internal training compliance, training effectiveness, and long-term growth of the Saxon Care Training division.

Is this role right for me?

    • Saxon Care will facilitate professional training upon successful hiring that will allow you to deliver externally moderated courses such as People Movers Moving & Handling Trainer / Assessor & First Aid Basic Life Support (Includes Adult, Child, Infant CPR & Use of an Automated External Defibrillator) Remote Learning Trainer Course (Accredited at Level 3). However, it would be advantageous if you already hold a Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
    • Present proven experience in healthcare training, self-motivation, and a drive to enhance both internal and external team skills.
    • Possess strong organisational skills, independence in managing business areas, and advantageous experience in compliance.
    • Be adaptive, resilient, agile, and responsive. You will hold precise time management skills and be confident in your decision-making.
    • Train with passion and confidence, ensuring you can adapt to those around you and deliver training sessions that are effective for various settings and group dynamics.
