Evan Webster  

Evan Webster - Managing director

Evan studied Production Management at Aston University whilst completing an apprenticeship with Rover Group. He has over 30 years' supply chain management experience in the automotive sector with Rover Group, BWW, LDV and Johnson Controls. He also worked on a consultancy basis with BMW in Oxford.

Having worked for large multi-national companies he decided it was time to take on a new challenge by establishing his own business.

Having lived in the Chippenham area for nearly 20 years he wanted to invest in a company that made sound commercial sense but also fulfilled a purposeful role in the community. With the help and guidance of a close friend Saxon Care was formed in 2010 and started trading early 2011.

In his spare time Evan is keen on watching all sports and playing golf, he also enjoys hill walking, good food and plays saxophone.

Amanda Barnes  

Amanda Barnes - Registered manager

Amanda joined Saxon Care in the summer of 2014 and brings a wealth of experience to Saxon Care, having worked for over 18 years as a manager and training manager in the health and social care industry. 

Amanda has level 5 Diploma in leadership for health & social care and children and young people’s services as well as a level 4 BTEC in further education teaching and as a dementia Champion, her passion really lies in the excellent standard and quality of training she is able to provide our staff.

In her spare time, Amanda enjoys socialising and going on holiday. She is also a very competitive ballroom dancer. 


Karen Veitch  

Karen Veitch - Field co-ordinator

Karen started as a carer with Saxon Care before progressing to Senior Care plus Manual Handling Trainer and Risk Assessor eventually leading on to becoming a Care Co-Ordinator. She has an NVQ3 in Health and Social Care plus Manual Handling and Risk Assessor qualifications together with other individual qualifications in care including End of Life (Palliative) Care.

Karen enjoys going out meeting new clients and is involved in the initial client assessments that we at Saxon Care pride ourselves on where we like to try to ensure that our care packages are person centred to each individuals clients care requirements, these care assessments are carried out before care commences.

With many years previous experience in care when she worked as a Support Worker for the NSPCC , Karen has knowledge of the care system and is naturally a very caring person who thoroughly enjoys all aspects of her job at all levels. Her secretarial experience from earlier in her working career also helps with all the paperwork required during assessments and other office work.

Her favourite pastime is walking, especially coastal walking when time permits, she also enjoys reading. Karen is very family orientated and loves to spend time with her children, dog, family and close friends either socialising or offering support as needed when the occassion arises.


Amy McDonagh  

Amy McDonagh - Care Co-ordinator

Amy joined the team August 2012 to add experience to the planning and delivery of care. She has gained years of expertise in planning roles, with over 5 years experience working for the NHS as well as 4 years as a co-ordinator within the care sector.

Often when you contact Saxon Care it will be Amy that you speak to.

Amy is confident under pressure, able to take the lead in any situation and strives to ensure all your care needs are met.

Amy is currently working towards her level 5 in Leadership & Management Care Services (LMCS) and is keen to take on a broader role within the company as it expands to new areas.

Stuart Webster  

Stuart Webster - Business co-ordinator

Stuart studied Psychology at university before going to work in the family business and has spent the last year learning the ins and outs of the care sector. Stuart is heavily involved in the business coordination side of Saxon Care and is currently working towards his level 5 in leadership & Management Care Services (LMCS).
